Welcome to the DoDDS Isles School District.

The information contained in this website is designed to
answer most of your questions about school bus
transportation.  Our aim is to provide guidelines on the
operation of our school bus system, and outline the “do’s
and don'ts” of riding the school bus in the community.

A continuing concern for parents, students, and teachers is
school bus discipline.  The safety and well being of our
students riding DoDDS school buses is a major concern.
Their welfare on the bus is a shared responsibility.  School
and military officials are responsible for providing a safe
transportation system.  Parents, however, must take primary
responsibility for the behavior of their children while using the system.  The majority of students are well behaved, however there are those times when problems arise.  You and your student(s) must understand that riding a DoDDS school bus is a privilege, not a right, and that school bus discipline will be strictly enforced.

All violations of School Bus Safety Rules will be reported to school officials or the School Bus Office.  We will notify sponsors by telephone and/or letter of any action taken.  It is the parents’ responsibility to transport their students to and from school in the event that bus riding privileges are suspended.

Our schools and School Bus Offices are among the best.  However, we need your help to ensure that school bus transportation is conducted safely, and that our program continues to improve.  We have placed phone numbers and e-mail addresses for each school bus office on this site.  Please feel free to contact them if you need any additional information. Please take the time to review the enclosed information with your student(s).  It is important that they understand the rules and regulations before their first bus ride so that we can prevent incidents, rather than deal with them after they occur.

Thanks for your help and support.
